This was actually a LOT more interesting than I thought it would be. Essentially, the Starwars Force Trainer is a toy which claims to raise a ball based on measuring your brain waves.
The Bleep Bloop guys over at College Humor had male and female members of CH initially play Limbo which is extremely puzzle driven to see what the ball did and it actually seems to do something based on how it hovers when someone is trying to solve a puzzle.
More amusingly, they then tried to come up with a "control" to the experiment by making them play the most "brain dead" games they could find... America's next Top Model, and Project Runway... comedy ensues when they compare the men to the woman...
Now, before you yell at me, yes the "science" is a bit weak here, but it is still much more amusing than I was expecting!

westyThe I assume the device simply reads EEG , due to everyone's minds been different you cannot cearly extrapolate much precise data or causality from what happens.
it depends how the EEG reader is calibrated as well , as eeg can measure multiple degrees of brain activity i asume this is calibrated to brain inactivity rather than a specific typ of brain activity/brain signature.
I think it would be intresting to use contrast die and have people play games whalst in a CT scanner to get procise data on how peoples brains work when playing games , this has been done with f1 drivers or people that are good at specifc activities and you can normaly see that people that are better at acitvities have increased blood flow to specifc parts of the brain , for reactive typ games people that tend to be good are people that can have the natural instinkt part of the brain do the working out.
pho3n1xin other news, holy fuck westy, i could actually read your entire post.
