Man. Those graphics is FUG!

Yeah, but back in the day we were like, "OMG, it's just like real life!". The quest turn-in part really made me chuckle. It's taken me this long to try forgetting how you could lose all your hard-won quest items in the blink of an eye simply because you gave them to the NPC in the wrong order, or with an item missing or added. It was like a leap of faith every time you clicked the button.

And still all those flaws made it awesome. You always were shitting your pants because dieing was a real bad thing in that game.
At level 1 I remember guiding my friend through toxxulia forest because his monitor sucked and he couldnt see shit.
And those trains were simply awesome. I had so many screenshots of killer trains.

A few months ago I played it again and its not the same anymore. Sure, the gameplay is still the same, mostly, but all the new stuff somehow took away the old feeling. I wish they would make a server where each expansion will unlock after 6 months or so so that it will take ages until all are unlocked. I would start all over again.

Anyway I doubt such an awesome game will be done again in the future. Since WoW was so successful being completely dumbed down(you dont lose anything when you die, no atmosphere, no trains, no nothing), its highly unlikely that a developer will go back to the roots and make it more complex and harder again.

Way back when I used to play it, finding your corpse wasn't the only problem with death. The main fear was how much experience you would lose when you died. You could actually go down a level! And if you died again while trying to get to your corpse you might end up losing days worth of experience. It gave you fear of dying that you just don't get in the MMOs now.

Isnt that awesome? I cant wait for it. Though, they plan on not releasing any other expansions after Velious. I would really like to see SoL, PoP and LDoN again, after a few years. But all other expansions after those sucked.
