Earth (2009) Trailer HD - A Nature Documentary.

"The Walt Disney Studios will celebrate Earth Day 2009 (April 22nd) with the debut of "Earth," the first feature-length nature documentary from its new production banner, Disneynature. This amazing new film is from award-winning British producer/director Alastair Fothergill, whose credits include the Emmy and Peabody award-winning "Planet Earth" series (BBC and The Discovery Channel) and "The Blue Planet."

Follows the epic migratory journeys of four animal families as well as the earth's journey around the sun and the massive influence it has on all life on the planet, from the Arctic spring to the Antarctic winter."

I'd love to see this film on IMAX.

It's all just footage from the Planet Earth documentary. Without Attenborough it's just wrong.

It's all about money!

Great footage, but I'm fearing anthropomorphication of the supposed three families the film says it will follow through a year. I'd rather watch old BBC reruns.

Do not go to see this or buy the DVD. You are much better off, downloading or buying the HD video of the eleven-part series BBC Planet Earth. This movie is just clips from the eleven unique one hour episodes from Planet Earth edited together to make Earth the movie.

Watching those episodes of Planet Earth in high definition is amazing. They take the series from the mountains to life on the flat to the deep sea, and go from North to South. From each of the places they visit, they manage with most amazing cinematography to produce jaw dropping beautiful views of extraordinary places.
This is on of the most highest budget documentaries ever made. I can't recommend it enough.

This is a good film for posterity... remind us of what it used to be like before the minimalls.
