WTF? And you thought the Grammy pairings were odd.....I still marvel over this medley...every freakin' thing about it is bizarre.

Bowie and Cher are singing "Young Americans" and other songs. (CBS The Cher Show, 23.11.1975)

Outside of Cher's wig, I don't see anything bizarre at all. Two of the finest performers of their time, at least one of whom has a reputation for being an incredible chameleon (in his musical styles, not just his appearance). Putting them together for a medley of covers seems like a no-brainer to me.

If you want to talk bizarre, the routine with Bowie and Bing Crosby seemed a much more unusual pairing. And -that- one turned out amazing as well.
