This is how elections are fixed.

"
The Convention began with a highly-debated decision to change the Convention rules despite not getting the needed majority of “nays.” The convention began on a negative note when controversial temporary convention rules were adopted. Sanders supporters had been worried about these rules for weeks and had collected delegate signatures to seek changes to the rules. According to Jordan Chariton of The Young Turks, this rule change involved going with the delegate count from the first tier vote and ignoring the delegate count from the second tier, which Sanders had won.
"
A verbal vote was called for the rule changes at 9:30am while delegates were still trying to get into the convention. Roberta Lange the chairwoman ignored the outrage of the delegates that had made it in, passing the rule changes without a majority agreement.
64 Bernie delegates were purged, and not allowed to vote.
They 'counted' the delegates and despite the appearance of a majority of Bernie delegates at the convention the official count was:
Clinton - 1695
Sanders - 1662
Bernie delegates demand a recount putting a motion on the floor.
The motion was denied by Roberta Lange ignoring a vote.
Police were called to clear out the delegates.
...
There is no democracy in the United States.

newtboysays...This....THIS is why we are going to have a Trump presidency. Cheating to make Clinton the nominee doesn't gain them supporters, it loses them and denies the possibility of changing minds in their favor....EDIT: And they can't win if they don't change the minds of independents.
The DNC has totally thrown the rules, honesty, what it means to be a Democrat, and their party soul out the window and have done everything possible to force Hillary down our throats. Even if she was a viable or reasonable candidate...and she's absolutely NOT....this kind of underhanded behavior on her behalf disqualifies her...and the DNC...from being an acceptable option. They don't seem to comprehend the damage they do to the entire party with this BS...it's like they're watching the Republicans kill and eat themselves and are saying 'hey, we need to get us some of that'.
Not only will this hurt Hillary by making her look more underhanded and criminal, it will hurt the other Democrats up for election this cycle. I, and many others, have a really hard time voting for someone on a 'team' that's become the antithesis of 'transparent, honest, and fair'.
I won't vote for Trump, but I'll also never vote for Hillary. I'll write in Sanders if I have to. How great would it be to have a write in candidate not beholding to either party in power?!?

Baristansays...Write in votes are always ignored.
Instead vote for a third party candidate.
If the Green party or Libertarian party gets 5% of the popular vote, the next election they qualify for a $20,000,000 federal grant to fund their campaign.

robdotsays...these bernie people are worse than those teaparty idiots.
MilkmanDansays......Well, that ended on a thoroughly disgusting note.
I'm with @newtboy -- at what point was it decided that this should be the election cycle where both major parties decide to commit ritual suicide in spectacular fashion?
What a complete trainwreck.
