Poor little rat...

I kept thinking the same thing. That, and what the code for their launch software must have looked like.

I hate to shit on their parade, but even if it had gone the right direction, 36 km is not space (100 km), and putting it into orbit would be even further.

I think that particular miscalculation was just one of several made during this endeavour...

The rats last transmission was 'squeak squeak squeak' - translated roughly to 'It appears to not be made of cheese.'

Ok so this rocket with a rat in it crashed, I know lets dump more money into a satellite to put on the next rocket we test! Somehow I would have thought the idea of using another rat until you get the launch right would be the most obvious choice...
