Clive Wearing: Living Without Memory

Clive Wearing (born 1938) is a British musicologist, conductor, and keyboardist suffering from an acute and long lasting case of anterograde amnesia. Specifically, this means he lacks the ability to form new memories, dubbed the 'memento' syndrome by laypeople and the media.

I watched a newer report about this guy recently (might have been on the Sift) and I really can't imagine how horrible this must be for the person suffering with this and his friends and family. Being robbed of your memory must be one of the worst things that could happen to a person.

One of the most interesting parts is in the later half of 2c where his wife contrasts the differences in episodic vs semantic memory.
