I almost expect this in USA, but Europe? C'mon Europe.

That's too bad that some people died...but they're sheep who are following the church. People are allowed to choose when they wish to die (in my opinion) and placing your life in gods hands I think is when they chose that.

Plus fuck'em...plenty of people didn't choose to die of aids the same day and the church is fighting them getting condoms which to me is a much greater crime.

I'd be interested to know how many of the people promoting this medieval nonsense use modern medicine at all. Do they pray away infections, tooth decay, etc, etc? Do they refuse medicine for their kids? This is just another frightening example of how dangerous religion can be. The sooner religion is taught as a history subject, the better off we will all be.

How can this be allowed in this century?
Isn't there any sort of accountability for their statements?
How many cases they cured?
Is there any medical proof for this?
How is this legally possible?
Is this backed up by the government?

That's how it usually is with selfish people. It's OK for *ME* to have modern treatment and health care, but it's not OK for *YOU* to have it.

It wouldn't shock me at all to find out someone of the higher ups in that church have HIV and are getting modern treatment for it, they're just telling everyone else they should die.

Imagine that......Christians and churches preying on the ignorant, poor and weak.

This is not an accident. The typical extremist Christian position on AIDS is that it's punishment by God for your sinful act. They do not believe they are curing these people any more than we do, they are simply taking away that which keeps them alive so that "God's plan" can take its course. If that includes infecting even more sinners before you go, all the better.

I can see no other reason why there are so many efforts made by Christian churches to stop the prevention and treatment of STI infections.
