I was annoyed by the guy who thought it was important enough to start his thought with "This is America" that he needed to repeat it three times. Also, you're on national television, maybe wear something a bit better than a golf shirt two sizes too small. He looks like he works at fucking Pep Boys. My gaydar is going off, not that there's anything wrong with that, and I hate to pursue a stereotype, but usualy gay dudes have style and taste (unless they're completely insane like Perez Hilton). I'm pretty sure this guy thinks his massive Adam's apple and scrawny build are benefitted by the tight shirt.

It's part of his charm.

I think Hitchins comment about religion being acceptable and believing in a God is somewhat off base. I'm an Agnostic myself but I've decided that if I we're to believe in a God, I would have to be a deist, and believe that God caused/created the Big Bang (or whatever explicable force created the universe).

My opinion, just look at his life. He's spent lots of time in North Korea, Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan. He's interviewed some of the worst people in the world and knows more about current world politics than anybody I've ever heard speak. The job he gets though is writing for magazines like Vanity Fair while CNN and Fox run their ignorant talking heads all day. Then realize that most North Americans can't even be bothered to take the time to get up to the level of ignorance that Fox and CNN provide. Put yourself in his shoes and you'd either turn to religion or alcohol too.
