Chris Matthews questions Ari Fleischer on McClellan's Book

NetRunnersays...

I'm going to put his show on Tivo now.

Either I've misjudged Matthews in the past, or he's suddenly woken up to the realization that politicians shouldn't be allowed to use the media to spread lies without being challenged.

It's good to see Matthews holds Ari Fleischer to the specific questions he asks of him and doesn't just let him parrot off talking points.

The general decorum of every talking head from the White House regarding this issue seems to be utterly incognito about the specifics mentioned (which they all seemingly had nothing to do with and were not aware of) while being all too willing to make wide ranging generalisations about the state of affairs regarding everything from Hurricane Katrina, to the public propaganda PR campaign. That particularly, in light of the recent findings regarding the so called 'message multipliers' is simply amusingly hypocritical.

I wish Chris would have also brought up the "It's not the Scott we/I know" bit as something that most detractors are saying. It seems to me that he's pretty much hitting the WH talking points...how conveniently cohesive of all of them.
