Cat is really happy to welcome her owner home after 3 days

YT: She was a House Sitting for three days.
Her food was more than half, when I arrived my home.

someone say "food! food!"

Why do some cats not eat unless they are being pet? It leads to ridiculous scenes like this, where the cat has food, but is still desperate for its owner to feed it
..oh.. right, "sloppy artificial selection."

WHAT THE HELL? I'VE HAD TO PET MYSELF FOR 3 @$^&%$ DAYS!!!

I've come up with the following possible reasons for the owner's strange silence:

* the owner is mute/deaf
* the owner is Spock/unemotional
* the owner is a telepathic version of Dr. Doolittle and was speaking to the cat throughout the entire clip

Any others?

The owner realizes that cats don't understand English (or whatever language the owner speaks).

I had a cat named Toe that when I came back from a trip she wouldn't give me the time of day for a day or two and then would all of a sudden become lovey dovey.
