Casino Royale - Final Poker Hand

Everybody still playing goes all in in this clip. Of course Bond wins, but it's still great.

The funniest thing about this remake of Casino Royale, is how they changed the original game of Baccarat to No-Limits Texas Hold Em'. Texas Hold Em' is definitely a game I can see ultra high-rollers playing in five million dollar buy-in game. They should have gone all the way and made Bond's ability to save the world contingent on him winning a belching contest.

Yeah, thats just what we need, FAKE ad-placements.. just great.

And I hate "movie poker", where everbody has all "superhands" all the time. why cant a movie hero win with something like 2 aces over 2 kings or something, its ridiculuos with this "My house is bigger" business, that happens like.. never..its about as silly as Movie Computer experts(tm) that can make high resolution face shots of CCTV cameras filming from across the street.

Yeah, this hand is very silly.

Also, the showing of the cards is all wrong on the end. They go in the totally wrong order. Bond should show first, then the guy with the full house, for the last side pot. Then the big black guy should show for his part of the 1st side pot. Then the first guy should show for the main pot.

Also, in no casino in the world, do they move aside 2 cards and put your cards on the board to show the final hand - I suppose that was done so the non-poker playing viewers would be able to read the hands.

What a horrible hand of poker. First the showing order was wrong, as noted above. Then, the dealer says, "heads up" after evil dude's 12M bet, even though there are four players still in the hand ("heads up" means only two players).

Then there's the ridiculous play of the black guy, supposedly a pro. He was dealt a middle pair holding 11 million, and he must have called 6 million before this clip started (a quarter of the 24M in the pot) instead of raising all-in. Big mistake. Then, he had 8-8-8 after the flop, and checked, allowing everyone to see a free card. Even a decent amateur would get all his money in the pot.

Watching real poker is so much more exciting. Search for "poker" and watch the ones with the most votes. They're truly awesome.
