Actually, he *doesn't* seem to offend him, which I find pretty awesome on stowcraft's part. Most of his interviewees start talking down to him IMMEDIATELY and get pissed off soon after. Stowcroft never seems to lose it - I mean he's correcting Ali G and stuff but not really in a condescending, I-have-to-always-be-right way. imo.

At first I thought this was silly since I just re-use cases until they fall apart, but then I realized that a lot of people are probably buying full desktops.

Halfway through this I start thinking, damn, the woodgears.ca guy would love to see this! Then at the end I realize it IS him. This guy is freakin amazing and makes all kinds of awesome stuff out of wood. He made a freakin pipe organ, he makes gears out of wood, all kinds of crazy stuff. His site is a treasure.

George Lucas is basically one of the luckiest men alive. He made kind of a crappy space opera and somehow it was great and spawned this enormous empire (ha!) and mountains of cash.

When I was in college both fedex and UPS would common put packages under your door mat to make them, I guess, less conspicuous. Except, they'd also do it for enormous packages. I had a dell computer shipped to me, which was like 3 a 3 foot square box. They left this $2000 package sitting there, with my tiny door mat perched on top. Nice.

This year, around xmas I had a lot of stuff shipped to me. Usually they leave stuff on my porch but they've gotten further and further away and have left several packages in my driveway, 10 feet or more from my door. Sometimes, in the rain.
