Shepppardsays...Fun Fact:
I've NEVER found a pair of skates that didn't make my feet hurt after 10 mins.
However, I still love skating.
Bruti79says...Upvote for the kid in the background trying to chop through the ice with a hockey stick =D

It takes a while your feet adapt to them and the boots to adapt to your feet , I played hokey for a good 5 years i think it takes maby 8 weeks or so of weekly play for it to not be uncomfortable.
Some players actually get a growth that is caused by the skates and have to have it surgically removed , but as it dose no real harm and is not uncomfortable they leave it until they no longer play as the surgery would result in 2 or so weeks off from skating .
But yah The skates u get from rental places when you just go for the day are normally really bad you can pick up your own pretty cheep and if your an adult that's at max foot size then its worth it , evan the most budget skates will be better than the rental ones.
Bruti79says...Yup, Westy nailed it right in the head.
SlipperyPetesays...LOL @ 1:28: Whack!
Sarzysays...I'm a Canadian and I've never even put on a pair of skates, let alone played hockey. Every time people talk about hockey I pretty much glaze over. I also don't particularly like Tim Horton's, so I'm a terrible Canadian. I do like Swiss Chalet, though.
gargoylesays...Yup, did this just yesterday. Just the skating, no hockey. The other canadian thing to do is to discuss ice conditions.
aspartamsays...What about Canadian Tire or Home Hardware? I used to love going in there.

Get outta my damn country.
Sarzysays...I hate snow and cold, too. I really should just move to LA or something.
