Canadians Being Canadian

Cameraman Gary Moore took to the frozen Kelowna lakes to find out about the Canadian tradition of skating and hockey.

Just a fun video of what, I think, every Canadain has done at least a few times...

Fun Fact:
I've NEVER found a pair of skates that didn't make my feet hurt after 10 mins.
However, I still love skating.

It takes a while your feet adapt to them and the boots to adapt to your feet , I played hokey for a good 5 years i think it takes maby 8 weeks or so of weekly play for it to not be uncomfortable.

Some players actually get a growth that is caused by the skates and have to have it surgically removed , but as it dose no real harm and is not uncomfortable they leave it until they no longer play as the surgery would result in 2 or so weeks off from skating .

But yah The skates u get from rental places when you just go for the day are normally really bad you can pick up your own pretty cheep and if your an adult that's at max foot size then its worth it , evan the most budget skates will be better than the rental ones.

I'm a Canadian and I've never even put on a pair of skates, let alone played hockey. Every time people talk about hockey I pretty much glaze over. I also don't particularly like Tim Horton's, so I'm a terrible Canadian. I do like Swiss Chalet, though.

What about Canadian Tire or Home Hardware? I used to love going in there.
