Can Texas Secede from the Union?

From YT: Can Texas, or any other state, become independent?
quantumushroomsays...

Texas can't secede from the Union because there is no longer a United States which obeys the Constitution.from which to secede.

The Socialist States of America have nothing to do with liberty, forcing health care on formerly-free citizens and printing 40 billion a month in fake money. Oh, and no one says a word about the new tyranny because KING Obama is Black.

The answer is no.

The United States fought a rather large war to settle the question.

Oh, and Quantum Mushroom, the only one who cares that he's black, is quite evidently... YOU.

It's at least nice to see you focusing on the issue that really matters to you, because no one could honestly believe the bullshit you spew.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)

Comedy gold.

Please check this out http://tinyurl.com/cmadwhj and if you don't, here's the gist: Nation that re-elected Obama wants more spending cuts than tax hikes, still hates Obamacare

So if you obama voters don't like the guy's speeches or obamacare, WHY EXACTLY DID YOU VOTE FOR HIM?

Black Americans--hit hardest by the King's economic policies--voted for him. It makes no sense unless you realize his followers are electing an image, not a leader.

It's hilarious to me that this thugverment, which has ignored the Constitution for decades (both sides in differing ways) is suddenly standing behind the RULE OF LAW to keep Texas from seceding (just in case).

At least the guy that made this video is willing to explore the idea. Where are the "open-minded" liberals now?

I don't hate the King because he's Black, I hate his followers for letting him take over because he's Black and his opposers for being too scared of being called RAY-SISS to call him out.

The only thing two tricks the libs got are still going strong: Cry Racism and Raise Taxes. AND HERE WE ARE AGAIN!

Fuck Texas. I hope they do secede, and hopefully @quantumushroom would go with them. If all the red-state "takers" seceded, the rest of us "makers" would be better off.

Have they bothered to compare the size of Texas' military vs. Mexico? It would be hilarious to see Texas immediately invaded and absorbed by our friends to the south.

I'd also like to point out that the sour-grapes from conservatives is just as delicious as the day after the election.

WINNING

One thing not mention (though hinted at toward the end of the video), is that the vast majority of Texan's do not want to secede and probably a large group of them would rather leave Texas than leave the US. The 'former' state would be a shadow of itself.

And QM, chill out. Your side lost, it's not like it never happened before. And if you are an indication of it's base.. it'll only continue to lose.

It's been a long time since I had US history in school, but I swear I remembered there something about there being a clause put in so that states could leave the union if they wanted because certain states refused to to ratify the constitution unless they could leave. Maybe it only applied to the original 13 colonies or maybe I slept through that day and dreamed it all.

Hey, what's this on Drudge?

"Income tax will exceed 50% in California, Hawaii, and New York City... Developing..".

Here's what would likely happen should Texas actually secede. It would prosper under Constitutional law while the rest of the states withered under obama tyranny. Mexico would not invade, Texas has nukes.

After 4 years, Texas' number one problem would be immigration, not from Mexico but from refugees from all the states run into the ground by liberals.

For the final act, it's the Despotic States of America that would declare war on Texas. The thought of sitting in a death panel waiting room while the state next door has freedom would be unbearable.

North Carolina IS more beautiful than Texas...and the sand on the beaches is much better...and their accents are way more hickier...and sexy.

Texas politics be-damned, I gauge a state's appeal on much more fundamental aspects of humanity, not the robotic responses to world events prompted by indoctrination through higher education. That was sarcasm KnifeWielder and Texas be just as fucked as NC with regards to informed decision and perception of how the world REALLY works.

I live in North Carolina, yet another red state that think's its the "Real America".
