nanrodsays...My guess is because rather than have an ongoing fire under or beside her oven she built it inside and then relied on the residual coals which necessitated keeping as much heat inside as possible.
What I was wondering was in a theoretical survival situation where did she get the store bought sausages and the perfectly flat stones that look like they came from Home Depot.
