If I was to name one threat, it wouldnt be global warming, it would be ignorance. Because of ignorance, people dont get their priorities, threats, science, education, or anything else straight. And without the knowledge, you cant fix global warming, or terrorism, HIV, poverty, war or any other threat to mankind. This goes for americans, but it also goes for the rest of the world, Ignorance must be amended if we are to have any chance against all of the problems in this world. If people are given the opportunity to understand, they'll simply know what to do.

This is why I'm not in favor of "war against terror" , it wont really fix anything, unless its a war against ignorance. Bombing a country back to the stoneage will produce stone-age minds as well as bodies. Educating the world is a frustratingly slow and seemingly unmanageable task, but its the only thing that will ever work.
