Baking Bread with Lava in Iceland

YouTube description:

Siggi Rafn Hilmarsson is an Icelandic baker with an interesting technique. He buries his dough 16 inches underground where it actually bakes from the natural heat generated by Iceland's volcanic hot springs. Why doesn't Siggi just use a conventional oven? Come on. His method is WAY cooler.

I had this saved for upload when I had an open spot, it's a really cool story. I bet you could make some bitchin' pulled pork in the ground too.

When I was there last summer, I found out that this is a traditional way of baking in Iceland.
In NZ, they called the hot springs Maori microwaves. They would just throw in a whole pig to boil until done (according to the plaques).
