That was pretty awesome - they were singing with such gusto. Makes me want to:

Take off to the great white North. Take off ... it's a beauty way to go.

(anyone remember that song? anyone?)

Edmonton didn't make the playoffs this year but this is atmosphere is found at the Arena's of the other Canadian teams in the playoffs.

With the Vancouver Canucks and the Ottawa Senators each holding a 3-1 series lead and hopefully moving on to the second round of the playoffs I thought this deserved a *promote. Hopefully the Calgary Flames can stage a comeback now that they are only down 2-1 in their series. Gotta love the Stanley Cup Playoffs!

GO CANUCKS GO!

couldn't be more wrong.

While they are not as good as America anymore in hockey , their national anthem still kicks the Star Spangled Banner's ass (unless, of course, Marvin Gaye is singing it)

zifnab, thank you for the promote . . .this gives me goosebumps each and every time I play it.

Dag, that's off the Bob & Doug LP, I used to listen to that a looooooooong time ago =D I think it was sung by Geddy Lee?

As for the Oilers, Oiltown is an amazing hockey place to visit. I love at 1:00 the equipment manager really going to town for it. The oils may be having some terrible luck this year, but next year Jodran Eberle (Captain Clutch!) and Taylor Hall (if the draft picks go right,) are coming in. Those two along will make Edmonton a power house again.
