The Eurovision is normally a vast reservoir, 99% full of crap, kitsch, and high camp but this French entry by Amina was actually pretty good and stuck in my head all these years. In fact it was good enough not to win, saved from ignominy at the final count by a characteristic lack of taste, it was second. A close one.

This live performance is from the contest. The Swedish singers mike cut out during her song, perhaps getting a little sympathy vote that pushed her to first place.

Moving this video to moodonia's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 3 days.

The French does a lotta things well. Music however, is not one of them.
