I've seen this on a Korean TV once. I'll give you guys a hint. The masks are attached to thin ropes. Here's another hint. He often makes jerking moves when his masks change.

It's a simple mechanism and follows the basic principals of all good magic tricks. Distract people's sight with your elaborate dance moves while you manipulate the device to create an illusion.
