Might have been a glitch, but it couldn't have come at a more convenient time. It wasn't Fox news, though, right? I don't think anyone was really "pulling the plug" here, they just lost their signal as they said.

BOOOOOOO. There was no reason to cut that off. I want to see her reply. It makes her look bad. It's not a good PR move for ANYONE. I smell shenanigans. The video was too short. American propaganda? How about Russian propaganda? Anyone see it?

>> ^Pprt:
It was a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation feed.

While the show was CBC, the feed could have been controlled by anyone, and could have easily been pulled at the source by overzealous administration handlers. Did anybody get the full feed? What was the source of the "glitch"? Did anybody else cover this press conference? Surely on site video was taken, where is the footage?

If this was a government initiated pull-the-plug situation, that is MUCH worse then newscorp or some TV program just cutting something off for their own reasons.

I'm not saying that's what happened, I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised at this point, since "Russia is just fighting their own war-on-terror" is not a comparison the administration wants to deal with.

I believe the answer that your looking for can be found here - Dept
. of State August 13 Briefing
. The actual question and answer runs from 16:10 to 18:15, but you should watch the full thing if you actually want to know about US positions on the issue. The answer she gave was mocked on the Daily Show Thursday, you can see that here: Russo-Georgian Conflict. That being said, I'm getting a bit tired of attempts at insightful commentary and analysis from 30-second news clips; it seems to be a problem here on the sift.

Ummm... I'm pretty sure that no one has the authority to compare others to Nazi Germany. It's a horribly abused rhetorical device most often used when you have no authority left in the argument.

So, the live C-span feed wasn't interrupted in any way. A channel most Americans have. That's enough to make me think it wasn't a conspiracy, just an error made by the CBC. Of course if all broadcasts had somehow been cut at once I'd be very suspicious.

I can't blame people for jumping to conclusions. But you'll actually find the only thing cut was Condoleezza's response. <sarcasm> Perhaps those liberal cannucks don't want you to her the administration's side. </sarcasm>

I have also seen such interviews go blank or run into 'static' through multiple news sources. This is not new. You just have to pay attention. They are usually more subtle than that though. LOL. TV isn't the only medium affected. Radio as well.

It's all propaganda duuude, America's mold is unique and painless and made to order....simply follow their program and pretend to have an educated opinion on the matter......oh and, believe everything you see on TV......

Damn.....really be nice to know if Condi gets that creature tapped regularly, and iffn there's some video somewhere......

For 80 years the soviet scum murdered million of their own, some quick, some with gulags and planned famines. American leftists defended this evil empire with the same zeal they worshipped Castro.

In "former" KGB leader Putin lurks another Stalin and American leftists see nothing wrong with this. One of 1000s reasons no sane American trusts liberals with national defense.

QM, I see you are sticking with your tendency to offer no real evidence in support of your facile arguments. In fact, it was Bush who claims to have looked into Putin's eyes and gotten "a sense of his soul, a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of his country." So point taken regarding Putin, but I think its the conservatives you have to worry about, not the liberals (as meaningless as those classifications are anyway).
