enochso a serial killer may be insane?
/shock
what i found most profound about this video was not her obvious insanity, nor the causality of the insanity but rather that they gave her a clean bill of mental health the day prior.
the fact that she compared her plight to jesus does not trouble me but that fact that supposed professional psychiatrists found her sane...does.

StormsingerThat's what
prostitutespsychiatrists do, you know. Give whatever results the funding party desires. Money talks, especially to the sort that testifies to mental competence in a court of law.
SagemindReally? - Since when does YouTube Region block?

moodoniaI keep getting "This video contains content from Channel 4, who has it blocked in your country on copyright grounds", maybe its fine in most places...
StormsingerCare to offer a bit more than that? I think it's pretty fucking obvious from this interview that she's bat-shit crazy...she thinks they were torturing her and preventing her from writing with "sound pressure" from the intercom, for Christ's sake. So what excuse is there for the shrinks who certified her competent?
>> ^Trancecoach:
Wrong.

TrancecoachThe psychological evaluation of a person's competency to stand trial is a very specific set of standardized screening instruments, tests, and assessments which are designed to determine the individual's level of judgment and cognition at the time that the crime was committed. It has absolutely nothing to do with social or emotional standards of what does or does not constitute "sanity" in a prejudicial or colloquial sense. Nor does it pertain to the individual's psychological functioning after the committal of the crime or as a result of incarceration.
Further, there is nothing shown in this video that suggests that she was unable to determine right from wrong at the times that her crimes were committed. In fact, she still seems quite lucid about that specifically.
Your stated belief that psychiatric evaluations are determined by the paying party demonstrates a woeful ignorance of the system and a failure to understand the facts before spouting an opinion.
Sad, really.

StormsingerI was actually enjoying your "real" response, and then you had to go and turn to the personal attack...
That's the really sad part.

Pot, meet kettle.
StormsingerI made no personal attacks. I certainly attacked a profession, or more accurately a subset of a profession, but I never picked out an individual to attack. There -is- a difference, you know.
