westysays...lol what mupit dose this with 6 screens all the same size,
u have to do it with odd numbers of screens so that u always have an uninterupted central space .
deathcowsays...Good point... maybe a 42" plasma in the middle, with 1080P resolution, and then two vertical oriented 24" LCD on the sides, still, cool to see a single commercially available card rendering this!!
Duckman33says...Bah, I just use my 42" LCD TV for my computer monitor. Problem solved.
Njalsays...Are there any monitors out without those annoying borders? Because playing on multiple monitors with big fat borders between every screen kind of sucks.
Croccydilesays...Yeah the big black line in the middle of the action is a bit of a turn off. You would need projectors aligned up to achieve this effect without the border... but nobody really has this... or 6 monitors to play games with.
This would be useful for PC based simulators, but I doubt I will see gamers with this setup and more than 3 screens.
GeeSussFreeKsays...The bezel is what provides structural support for the entire unit. They have been making smaller bezels over the years but they are on larger units that can be structurally enhanced in more ways than a smaller unit. I also think there is some purposeful lack of these types of items because monitor manufacturers make their big bucks on the larger units. If people started slapping together thin bezel monitors as a common practice it would hurt their high-end bottom line. So while there are surely some technological hurdles, they don't really seem insurmountable enough to already exist in some form...my guess is monitor manufacturers don't want to sell them until they have to.
videosiftbannedmesays...Why is he hammering his mouse when using the shotgun? He's not playing Diablo.
