He's right - But as he says, first you need the sense to get out of town, safely, and get to a safe haven. Most people will linger close to where they live, where all their stuff is, until conditions get to the point where they are forced to move. And by then, they wouldn't have the resources to move, such as a vehicle with fuel or food to make the trip. Not to mention, weapons to defend yourself as you pass others on the road that want what little you have.

Mad Max has proven this to be true!

lol fuck the farm I'd be off to deep countryside and find a good lake or river where its unlikely desperate people would find me and I can live of wild life and general plant life. The sea is another option so much easy to find food on the coast line. Probably be the case in this scanroe that small coastal communities would be the strongest as they would already have the community , food and resources to sustain themselves with virtually no change.

this documentary is really cool as well !

And once you hit the farm, if ANYTHING breaks, you have no idea how to fix it or make a new one. Or if you get sick, or hurt and don't know how to properly treat it. Or the animals get sick or hurt......might have the whole herd die of something common.

Bear Grylls might make it, but the general schlub is going to probably be shot to death or beaten to death for his jacket, shoes, food, or fuel before they even get to the basics.
