2012, End Of The World, Mayan Calendar - Nonsense Explained

Nope. I mean, from 5 minutes of research I don't turn up any evidence that 2012 was ever nominated for any Oscars, let alone winning any. I started here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_(film)#Accolades and continued on to the lists of Oscar nominations from 2008 to 2011. What have I missed?>> ^brycewi19:

"2012 ... swept the academy awards..."???? Wasn't even nominated, as far as I can tell.

It was sarcasm - backed up! Seriously though, early in the clip he says people are predicting the end of the world in 2012 based off of ancient Mayan calenders "obviously". Pretty sure that's sarcasm. So one might assume he would use more sarcasm throughout his spiel. >> ^eric3579:

That's a poor attempt even by the low standards of sarcasm since neither a literal nor sarcastic interpretation gives it any scientific weight since a Hollywood movie bears low scientific credibility with or without an Oscar.>> ^eric3579:
