I did something similar to this with a buddy of mine a few years back, only on a crane probably 1/4th the hight of this one. It was late at night too, and no, I don't have a death wish. I jump at any opportunity to do something like this, that's just how I was built, y'know?

The climb was topped off with the toss of a cigarette butt from the very top, and it's sparky explosion on the windshield of a bulldozer at the bottom.

They're called "Behold... The Arctopus" and believe it or not, they're actually shooting for this sound. They're fairly popular too, touring with bands like Dillinger Escape Plan and Genghis Tron. I first listened to them a few years back and still think they rip pretty hard. If you can't like it, it's your problem.

I want one of these. Any info on where to buy one? I especially like the warped vibrato he makes with that hole in the middle, I've never seen a karimba with one before.

If the emotionally and politically charged music of Fugazi, Rights of Spring and Embrace were considered emo, why is it bands like Jawbreaker and Jets to Brazil fell into the same category? Was Minor Threat emo? Ian MacKaye seemed pretty angry most of the time while fronting for a band that preached abstinence from drugs, alcohol, sex and promoted veganism.

This is why when people ask me what kind of music I play, I tell them "music that you have to listen very closely to hear."

Someday Virgin records will be choosing genre labels for us, and all our problems will be solved.
