Doctor Who - Original 1963 Opening Title Sequence - Classic!
How could I miss this in the queue? oh well.
Lee Carvello's Putting Challenge
Ha, that quote is great. Actually I just watched this episode (where I got the idea to sift this bit).
The Yardbirds: The Train Kept A Rollin
This is from Michelangelo Antonioni's film Blowup. Hardly obscure! (well for film fans anyways)
It's a great scene (and great film).
<quick edit>Sorry, don't mean to come off w/ a bad attitude...but it's also a dupe...see related below
<one more quick edit>it appears that the clip below is dead
"Da Da Da" - Volkswagon Commercial
Yeah...I don't suppose it's really viral...though it seemed like it had sort of a viral effect back in the day.
(I've gone ahead and removed the viral tag...so the above comments might make a little less sense now).
MC Solaar - Les Temps Changent
As a bonus, here's one of his best tracks (sadly no embedding), Obsolète:

Carlos Santana and Band - Evil Ways
Cool, he recorded A Love Supreme w/ Mahavishnu John Mclaughlin (that's how it's credited on the album) on the album Love, Devotion, Surrender
ATM Scam
On second thought, they probably just cloned one of their own cards when they went to withdraw from the cash point (after all they're really just trying to show how the scam works)...or at least that's what I'd claim if the authorities came looking.
ATM Scam
Sometimes I wonder if they have to stage these hustles a little for TV. Even though they're not really after people's money and are ostensibly upfront about the whole thing afterwards, if they were to actually do this...even for demonstration...they could get in *a lot* of trouble (at least in the U.S.) not to mention that the mark could press civil charges (but I'm sure most would be too embarrassed...and it is the U.K. so things are a bit different).
To be clear, this type of scam does exist. I'm just saying I don't see how they can actually do it for TV.
Jean François Coen: La Tour de Pise (Michel Gondry video)
I don't think any knowledge of French is really required, but some of the more subtler elements are a little more interesting if you have some.
Play With Bootsy (2002)
Ain't he ever, just look at this video (no bootsy though):

Play With Bootsy (2002)
From the Bootsy Collins album of the same name. For some reason it doesn't look like it was ever released stateside. It's fun, but a little cheesy.
Oh and Kelli Ali used to be w/ the Sneaker Pimps.
Cameo - 'Word Up!' - classic 80s funk with great video!
Upvote for LeVar Burton.
Pink Floyd-Time-Live at the Hollywood Bowl-2006
Upvote, but this video is from the Pulse dvd which was taken from a 1994 concert (sans Roger Waters).
Ball Buster
Wow, this is track 6 on the U.N.K.L.E. CD Psyence Fiction. I didn't realize it was taken from an actual commercial. On the CD they've titled it "Getting Ahead In The Lucrative Field Of Artist Management".
Math Education: An Inconvenient Truth
I'm certainly sympathetic to some of the views about math in this video, but somehow it feels a little misguided. There's no reason why solid arithmetic and the development of "math sense" need to be separated, at least when done properly. Anyways, here's a pretty balanced look at one of the programs in the video: "Everyday Mathematics".
