It's a shame the majority of mass media available about transgender people is negative in some way and that people are depicted either in tragic/violent situations or as a target for comedy (Transamerica). Also a shame that a man was chosen to play the part of a woman. Upvote because some awareness is better than none.

This is a proper London gangster film - it's not by Guy fakeypants Ritchie (about Ritchie from wiki: 'He adopted a cockney accent, despite being the stepson of baronet Sir Michael Leighton of Loton Park and a descendant of Edward I' - Ritchie likes to rough it with the commoners but in reality he's a mockney).
The Long Good Friday is the archetypal British gangster film, it has great actors; Bob Hoskins and Helen Mirren and even Pierce Brosnan turns up in it briefly.
It's worth a watch and really really deserves to get at least 10 votes for the front.
