I know I'd love them! Especially because of the coconut (and did you notice when you click to the recipe it says "perfect with a nice cup of tea"?) At Christmas I always make a whole bunch of different cookies and one of the types I make is very similar (minus the coconut). This is the one...

I'm going to have to try yours next time instead because I have a feeling I might like it even better! I'd better print it off now before I forget!
Thank you for digging it up for me!
Hey @chingalera can we add this yummy looking coconut jam drops recipe of oritteropo's to your contest (even though he's made them before)?
Here's my promised recipe - http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/13554/coconut+jam+drops
Or Gas Mark 4 (I've never had an oven that used gas mark, but recipes give them). I think I put in the whole egg and not just the yolk, but I don't remember. I usually use raspberry jam (other recipes say use raspberry or strawberry, this one is more relaxed about type).
Very easy, and very yummy. 360 deg F for old fashioned ovens
p.s. Important point - the measures are metric, so 1 cup is 250ml. Smaller cups might throw the amounts off a bit.

Food Channel Contest Time (Food Talk Post)
Someone at work brought these chocolate chip cookies in today. I asked her to email me the recipe since they were really good. So here you go...
Chocolate Chip Cookies
(makes 6 dozen cookies)
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped walnuts (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt, then set aside.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix powder until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets covered in parchment paper. Refrigerate dough between batches so the dough doesn't become too soft before baking.
3. Bake for approximately 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Could be more or less depending on your oven. Edges should be golden brown.

Say no more...you had me at hot showers. Also, I'm more of a hot tea drinker than a cold water drinker anyway. Australia, here I come...
I've found one positive to 42 degree heat outside: When the whole house acts as a giant solar hot water heater, the shower runs hot instantly.
Of course, since it applies to both hot and cold, that's rather less of a positive when you want a cold glass of water.

Hi Mordhaus!
Thank you for the message and I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner! And yes, I was in Mexico over the holidays and it was lots of fun! I've had some other things going on in real life that have kept me busy so I figured it would be a good time to take a sift vacation - which I was much in need of. I'll be back posting again soon.
*edit - Just read the message you posted on your profile - I hope you enjoy your sift vacation also!!!
Haven't seen you post as much, taking time for the holidays?
