Does that guy at 1:25 have a "got root?" shirt on? And in this weather that pool in a pickup for $2 of plastic sheet looks brilliant... upvote for the joke at the end though, hadn't seen that one yet.

A big part of the problem is the almost universal belief that everything should be as cheap as possible, and food the cheapest of all. My god, food keeps you alive, you are literally made of the stuff you eat, and yet you seek out the cheapest possible sources? SUVs are only getting cheap because people can't afford to fill the tanks anymore, but before that people would buy a big-ass truck (for two to three times the cost of a perfectly nice car) to haul their not coincidentally big-asses around from one drive through "restaurant" to the next, with stops in-between for the drive-through bank, and drive through pharmacy (cholesterol pills, naturally). It is amazing with all the knowledge and intelligence around that this system makes sense to anyone, much less the majority.

That was totally cool, and he's got some serious chops too. But where's the spit valve? The sound track had some nice trombone bits in it too - that part around 1:00 would be fun to belt out - is that an "original" version of Frankie or could it have been custom-arranged for this?

Easy upvote - Space 1999 was always one of my favorites. I had a pretty decent model of the early base and 6 or so Eagles made out of Lego... great fun! Thanks for the nostalgia!

I heard this track on the radio when it first came out and I bought the album almost immediately - what an excellent piece of work! That lame ass clapping at the end is pathetic though... flogging one's album on morning TV shows is a pretty humiliating end of the business I think. I'd strongly recommend all of her stuff.
