While the Berney guy should have left, the reactions of the two cops was completely uncalled for. At no point was he violent, threatening or dangerous. I don't get why they pepper sprayed him when he tried to leave. I can imagine why a councilman would prefer to leave on his own rather than be dragged out.

It's a good thing that those poles pop up so quickly. Imagine if someone was actually able to get through without a ticket! It's much better to have the drivers trash their car and suffer potentially serious injuries.

These people need to have their cars crushed into tiny little cubes. Preferably while the drivers are still inside.

We did this back in college with the industrial driers there. It probably wasn't a very smart idea. There was no heat though, and we could kick the door open to stop the drier if we needed to stop it.
