Some people seem to have made it work.

Here a video I tried to submit earlier that wouldn't validate, but someone else seems to have made it work:

When I click through their submission, onto the Vimeo site, the embed code that Vimeo then gives me won't validate back on Videosift.

They don't seem to want to validate.
