Lost Cop Shoots Puppy On Private Property In Oklahoma

hueco_tanks says...

What a dick. Get in the car. Jump on the fucking hood. Give the dog a boot in the nose if you have to. But shoot the dog!? And people are defending this bullshit!?! A cop comes onto my driveway and shoots my dog... damn right I'd be pissed.

I don't give a crap what the dog's temperament appeared to be, or if the thing was 90 pounds of pitbull and foaming at the mouth, you don't draw your weapon and shoot a dog when you can hop onto the hood, or man-up and pin that 50lb 'Bruiser' to the ground until he knows who the Alpha is.

The disregard for life is appalling and sick.

Ouch.

Thanks!
The comment stars have helped immensely (I like getting comments applauded better than anything honestly, there are some quality comments posted on the Sift and it it part of what I love about this site), along with an intense disgust with the republican party... which seems to be the general consensus... helps to be part of the majority when it comes to getting comments applauded.

Onward to... whatever the hell the next star is, gold I presume. I don't think I actually get any new useful privileges do I?

...keep burgling turds.

McCain campaign won't let Muslim supporter talk to CNN

I can't imagine a President being named Obama!

hueco_tanks says...

This presents us with a nice contrast on the Sift:

Tracy Curly endorses McCain because he is "The one who has the most faith in the Lord. I can't imagine a president of the United States being named president Obama... I really have a problem with that... a mother that was atheist, that really gets to me... a father that was a Muslim, that should get to everyone."

Colin Powell endorses Obama because "He displayed a steadiness, an intellectual curiosity, a depth of knowledge... He’s crossing lines-- ethnic lines, racial lines, generational lines... he is reaching out all across America, because of who he is and his rhetorical abilities, as well as his substance, he has both style and substance, he has met the standard of being a successful president... I think he is a transformational figure, he is a new generation, coming onto the world stage, the American stage,

And for that reason, I will be voting for Barack Obama."

Close call... I'd say tie goes to the General.

A very important step in ice swimming was overlooked.

I gave the exact same answer two weeks ago when asked by the local media at an Obama rally, "Why are you supporting senator Obama for president?"

Wait, maybe I said "Palin is a fuckwad."

Either way, I am pretty sure this is what I meant to say.

Well done sir.

Sarah Palin Booed at Flyers Opener

hueco_tanks says...

Not to take anything away from the joy of hearing Sarah Palin booed, but these people would boo... well... Santa.

•In 1999, fans jeered Dallas Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin as he lay on the field for 20 minutes, suffering from a neck injury that ended his career.

•That same year, fans threw D batteries at St. Louis Cardinals outfielder J.D. Drew, who held out for a year after the Phillies drafted him and eventually signed with the Cards instead.

•Matthew Scott, the only person in the United States to have received a hand transplant, was asked by the Phillies to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the team's home opener in 1999. The pitch, from his transplanted hand, dribbled over the plate. The fans booed.

•Eagles fans famously blasted Santa Claus with a shower of snowballs at halftime of a game as St. Nick circled helplessly around the field before stadium officials rescued him.

McCain turning a page now?

On the verge of defeat, maybe he is having second thoughts about the bullshit smears and hate he has been promoting. He was a good man once.

Great Baltimore Sun piece by Frank Schaeffer
October 10, 2008

"McCain's attacks fuel dangerous hatred

John McCain: If your campaign does not stop equating Sen. Barack Obama with terrorism, questioning his patriotism and portraying Mr. Obama as "not one of us," I accuse you of deliberately feeding the most unhinged elements of our society the red meat of hate, and therefore of potentially instigating violence."
