Mashup of President Bush's Guantanamo Bay (Gitmo) policy which has been far different than his rhetoric.

President of Venezuela Calls George W Bush a Donkey

joedirt, u r right. he crossed the line with the drunk remark although the rest seemed accurate. beyond the lame rhetoric, what's really bad about this is that it literally could move bush to act. bush is like otto in "a fish called wanda" - just don't call him stupid. but with bush, it is don't call him chicken or coward. this is why the neocons were running around town calling bush weak on foreign policy. and it worked. bush became even more hawkish which is hard to believe.

malice, i think you were born about 65 years too late and in the wrong country. oh, and FYI, we need venezuela far more than venezuela needs us. you don't think chavez knows this? that's why he has the power and can say these things. in fact, the only person/country benefitting more from high oil prices than saudi arabia and bush, cheney, rumsfeld, etc. is chavez.

also, do you even realize your making the case against your own position? you admit the world mocks us but you cannot come to terms with the reasons behind the mockery. there is a much easier solution than warring with every country on the planet.

and why do you assert a direct correlation between government officials and intelligence and demean the intellignece of people on this board? it is a well known fact that money and connections play a far greater role in advancing through government than intelligence. look at our president. there must be 30 million americans more qualified people for the job. he failed in everything he had tried prior to running for president and still almost won twice.

finally, was it political correctness when the cia attempted a coup in venezuela? it seems to me you are a bit quick to throw around the word fool and would be better served looking in the mirror.

wow, you both are really sick people. did you watch the video? do you read? the majority of the people in Gitmo are not al Qaeda and are not terrorists by the government's own admission. and that does not bother you? wow! most of them were turned over to us in one of the poorest countries in the world for a handsome reward. good way to ensure your getting the bad guys. and malice, we do kidnap people right off the street - it's called rendition.

and mushroom, try logic sometime. what does the video have to do with 9/11? did i besmirch the victims of 9/11? does making this video mean i don't care for those injured and killed on 9/11? is it not possible to have empathy for both sets of people or does it have to be mutually exclsusive?

and its pretty impressive, on your part, that you know how 500+ people from multiple countries lived and that they are better off in Gitmo.

you know, and this goes for both of you, it sucks to hate and it sucks to be ignorant. but damn, it must really suck to get so much of both. you ought to take your parents to court for damages.

nefarias you deserve credit for the appropriate name but certainly not your talking points response. fact: bush and the republican congress are the biggest spenders since the new deal and fdr is often considered the greatest president of all time for pulling the country out of the great depression. fact: liberals give more to charity than conservatives.

also, i don't recall anyone stating the u.s. should not live up to its constitutionally mandated responsibility to defend the country. only comments i have seen are regarding the amount of that expenditure - which is now 1/2 of the worlds total military expenditures. that is gross. it also makes half your post superflous.

finally, you are among the luckiest f's on the planet assuming you were born in the richest country in the history of mankind. only 3.5% of the world's population get so lucky. so maybe you should thank your lucky stars and not cry so much about helping your fellow man.

DAG - thanks much for the shout out. i'm pretty new at this so still in the figuring out stage. just found this site, for example. you guys do a great job. i will do my best to spread the word.

talk about misleading skeptical. you know, rumor has it that can work against you. take education for example. for starters your statement is not logical. if spending more money lowers scores we should than spend less money, right? actually we should keep spending less until we get to zero. i'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest scores go down with no schools, no teachers and no supplies. you know i find so strange as well -- why do kids score so much lower on tests when schools spend about $10,000/year on students vs. kids where schools spend more than $20,000? i know, it must be because the higher scoring kids are white!

as you state, being misleading can work against you. or , it can help you. for example, had i not already realized you are a misleading propaganda parrot, i would have continued to the next line which, in this case, is equally egregious. so your misleading spared you from furher debunking. congrats.
