Dude, this could either be real or fake.

It could be real because the guy could be addicted to WoW so badly he could have asked his girlfriend to mend his characters for him while he couldn't and give his password away. It could be real because anyone with such massive anger issues is probably violent towards his spouse/partner and needs a lesson.

It could be fake because people are craving celebrity so much they're ready to pretend their kid flew off in some balloon just to get on TV.

I don't think the iPad is pressure sensitive, it's either "touch" or not. The hardware expects fingers, not a stylus, so pressure on a small area will be ignored. It's definitely not art friendly.

Also the demo would have been more impressive if both hands were used, one for drawing and the other for the multi-touch gestures like zooming and scrolling.

It would have been even better if the guy could draw.

This is not hilariously bad, if you compare it to Birdemic for instance. The bullet dodging in The Matrix was a ripoff of Blade and the movie itself was inspired by Ghost in the Shell and other anime. Some say it borrowed heavily from Dark City.
Mixing both Terminator 2 and the Matrix special effects doesn't mean the plot line follows the same logic. India produces more movies per year than any other countries, including the US, therefore one is bound to come across cheesy stuff like this.

One thing that is clearly missing in the demo is animated objects. It's all static data, only the camera is moving. Also if they want some street cred they need to submit it to the next Siggraph, like this guy.

If you look at the plume closely and how it develops you'll see that the video is played backwards. This gives the impression it's getting larger (and closer) as time passes. I wouldn't be surprised if it had been turned upside down. Therefore my money is on a rocket too, like Lodurr said.
