Actually the tattoo was originally my idea (I'm the girlfriend). It would be cool to have an outline of the mandelbrot set on my back. If I could somehow get it done for free by an excellent tattoo artist, I'd do it right now!

When I was a kid, we had a poster of a tarsier (or something very similar) at knee height in a hallway. It was making its big-eyes face. Our cats HATED IT and would ATTACK THE POSTER! It got all torn up after a while. It was hilarious!
