The Heavy - Sixteen

Just thought I should let you know that not only did I immensely enjoy the video and song, but I've taken it upon myself to spread the video to friends of mine, as well as purchase the two albums (I know of) by The Heavy.

I'm completely excited for that. Despite being a gadget geek, I often shun new technology that I'll eventually have to dish out hundreds for (once it's gone on sale and close to obsoletion), but this looks to be extremely useful. Maybe because I'm wanna be artist geek (hope it comes with a camera in it).

Just wondering when the day will come when we have a single-sheet clear plastic paper-thin tablet with OLED touch display and built in camera. (imagine holding the clear sheet up to something you like, it sensing the distance/angle to your eyes, and taking the appropriate photo)

We're slowly working our way to the future they imagined in the 50's. Hell yes.

No way, no offense taken. Trust me, I was sending you that post in full seriousness, and I'm still debating on just taking down the video.

I posted that without knowing about the guy either, but after finding out more about him, damn... I wish I hadn't.

Glad he hasn't caught on, though.

MacGyver, Neo or douchebag? Your call.

Just recently, I'd gone and checked out the site and for some reason (possibly being blitzed out of my skill and not able to fully believe it was all real), and almost threw up a few times.

Not only am I amazed at the fact that this widely popular meme/character/person hasn't made it to the sift more often, I thank you for suggesting/drawing on your powers to make that be.

I suggest that we silence it to death.

Lady Gaga - Paparazzi Live

I'm not very often plagued with the "Do I really want to downvote this video question, but in this case, it didn't take too long to think about it. I know you took a few minutes to submit this video, but let me explain why I did so, in the hopes that you'll never hunt me down and kill me because of it.

1. It's one of those videos that we can count on to be well copyrighted for the next few weeks, so any version you find on Youtube won't be the actual clip, in full, or last.
2. Your clip is dead.
3. Though a lot of videos I upvote aren't always "quality", I try to at least think they'll contribute something to a person's day after watching. I didn't find much of that sort of "quality" in this clip, most because---
4. It's Lady GaGa.
5. It's MTV (I know, I shouldn't downvote an MTV performance because I hate MTV for rarely showing anything involving music these days, but I'm a bitter old man).
6. I'm always down for pelvic thrusting, but you shouldn't have to rely on it to draw in an extra demographic (she'd already hooked the 5% of her fan base that was in it for the music). All I'm saying is: Billie Holiday never had to throw her hips around to turn heads.

Again, nothing wrong with you, man... but this video is six different kinds of evil to me.

I was thinking the exact same thing, but at that point, he's either thinking about what'll go past the line of "self defense" and get him locked up, or "that crowd's staring at me with cameras and I look like a pimp. Best not kick a man while he's down and fuck that up. I may end up on VideoSift one day."

That's the way to do it. Avoid needless violence that makes us look like primitive chimps at all costs, and when the guy swings at you anyways, quick take-down. I'd give that little redneck a possum cookie if I ever met him.

Amish Girls Gone Wild - Rumspringa - The rite of passage.

Saw 'The Devil's Playground' on TV a while back, and had NO idea what they were up to.

Kinda scary that Amish kids typically live more of a wild, drug/sex filled life than I ever have, and to them, I'm considered sheltered for a bit.
