My link is dead, but it still hasn't been discarded as its only been one day. I was just about to replace it and found this. What do the rules say? Can we discard this if the exsisting video is dead but hasn't been replaced?

Hmmm, you seem to have got the body wrong in your pic. Face is perfect mind you.

Maybe just get rid of the right hand side tool bar altogether, and just have a whole page of thumbnails and underneath them the title of the video, with the number of votes in brackets next to it.
