Worst Segue Ever: Is Anna Nicole Still dead?

Tracon says...

yeah they spent atleast 14 hours covering the death of one women who gave to the world some naked pictures. I'm sure she is priceless to her family or loved ones but the 3 solders that died in iraq the same day were mentioned for about 3 seconds as an after note or after thought. IAEA weapon inspecters were allowed back into the plants in iran, 3 men died in iraq, intial results of the pentagon report on the rash of helicopters coming down was released, massive speculation on the Iran/Iraq connection within the US intel agencys with leaks about it left and right. Oh but one rich women trumps the remander of the world for 14 $%#@ hours. They spent those 14's just repeating she is dead she is dead and that was #$@! i'm sorry but that just fails. At this point i dont care what happened to her she blocked up the News pipes for almost a full day. But i live here up in Canada and we always have the CBC to fall back to and damn the actualy reported the news instead of this BS.

Pulitzer prize winner compares US Christian Right to Fascism

Tracon says...

I don't think that Pat Robertson and his ilk have the intelligence to pull something like this off. Granted he makes some good comparisons between Italy and some parts of rural America. He is mainly talking about the fundamentalists irrationality when it comes to government policy.

"an obvious Utopian socialist" Ahhh were did that come from? Seriously were did that come from? He made no mention of the workers in control of the means of production or the perfect society construct. This is called Ad Homonym. Attack the man and not the idea. This is a logical fallacy. Meaning it fails at basic logic and is not a sound argument.

But its something to think about.

"When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”

Edit
QM you also used 2 more logical fallacies.

Appeal to fear and Red Herring.

Huygens' Probe Landing on Titan

Tracon says...

The constant wine you hear is the connection strength (Bottom right corner line). so when it dies its over. Mainly because of the atmosphere that's why not to mention its Saturn's moon not the moon. The connection died after about what 44 seconds. Even the best of the 4g wireless cant do that. It was launched on October 15, 1997 and got in orbit of Saturn's moon Titan on July 1, 2004 and the probe was dropped January 14, 2005 and lasted on the surface a total of 44 seconds before connection loss. They drop probes like this before they land rovers if ever. It takes 2 years to get to Mars by the way and yes the ultra high res camera's they have on that have sent back a ton of great pic's and some small video. And there was no colour change mentioned by NASA for this video.
