Who Killed the Twinkies (Money Talk Post)

Two Westboro Douche Nozzles

I agree. Voltaire, free speech and all that. No-one should be murdered for their opinions.
That said, the rule is freedom of speech, not freedom of consequences from speech. You're free to call your boss a turd and he's free to fire your ass for it.
So with that in mind, I propose a compromise. No-one at the WBC gets murdered, but the next time they picket a funeral, a bunch of marines kick the crap outta them.
>> ^EMPIRE:
Yogi, they're fucking terrible, but unfortunately it's their right to be fucking awful.

edit: also am I the only one who really doesn't like Russell Brands comedy? It's childish, and I don't mean that it's juvenile, I mean its actually the kind of comedy an 8 year old would do at a school talent day.

People are murdered for their opinions every day. A lot of times they're brown people, in other countries who are just fighting for their freedom from oppression and someone who is US Backed kills them. I'm just saying we should bring some of the terror we export home, and even the score up a bit.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Yogi is saying we should murder them for their opinion, but simply for our convenience. Shit, Americans do that all the time.

Sears takes inventors idea all the way to China

Ryjkyj says...

This guy's first mistake was to give Sears any slack at all by agreeing not to sell his product anywhere else. The issue has nothing to do with things being made in China at all. It has to do with being a shrewd businessman, which as we all know, means to assume the other guy is always trying to fuck you, and then fucking him harder and faster. I feel bad for him and everyone else involved but come on, he committed to one company on a one season deal?

If this guy had a decent strategy, then this Christmas his product would be selling at every store but Sears.

Channel creation (User Poll by BoneRemake)

Ryjkyj says...

>> ^rottenseed:

I don't moderate my channel. The irony is that it's the "law" channel.

[edit] is that irony?

I think in this case, you're dead on:

"Irony deals with opposites; it has nothing to do with coincidence. If two baseball players from the same hometown, on different teams, receive the same uniform number, it is not ironic. It is a coincidence. If Barry Bonds attains lifetime statistics identical to his father’s it will not be ironic. It will be a coincidence. Irony is “a state of affairs that is the reverse of what was to be expected; a result opposite to and in mockery of the appropriate result.” For instance:

If a diabetic, on his way to buy insulin, is killed by a runaway truck, he is the victim of an accident. If the truck was delivering sugar, he is the victim of an oddly poetic coincidence. But if the truck was delivering insulin, ah! Then he is the victim of an irony.
If a Kurd, after surviving bloody battle with Saddam Hussein’s army and a long, difficult escape through the mountains, is crushed and killed by a parachute drop of humanitarian aid, that, my friend, is irony writ large.
Darryl Stingley, the pro football player, was paralyzed after a brutal hit by Jack Tatum. Now Darryl Stingley’s son plays football, and if the son should become paralyzed while playing, it will not be ironic. It will be coincidental. If Darryl Stingley’s son paralyzes someone else, that will be closer to ironic. If he paralyzes Jack Tatum’s son that will be precisely ironic."

FHA loans, why are these a good idea? (Money Talk Post)

Ryjkyj says...

I just bought a house in May with an FHA loan. The lady wanted to sell quickly, so in order to bring it to FHA standards, she put in about $15,000 worth of work. Brand new wiring, new roof, and a few other things.

Worked out well for us.

Game of Thrones' Author Slams Republicans for BS Laws - TYT

In other news, liberals everywhere who threatened to run to Canada, discover that Canada has a VoterID law already in place. Their world is shattered instantly.

I hate to sound so blatantly over-patriotic, but Americans who would run to another country just because a law got passed should (maybe) not be Americans.
