Incredibly entertaining, and, frankly, quite interesting.

I agree, this is no "Internet tough guy" talk, self-defense is not about prize fighting or male dominatinon scuffle, it's about surviving an attack. Hit a crippling point and RUN like hell.
It may be a vicious attack but it's pretty easy to bash in a knee or break a toe or even whack a groin, and it makes pursuit pretty unlikely, giving you, a presumably poor runner, a decisive headstart.
