Too Many Cooks

KnivesOut says...

Hey folks, nobody cares why you lost interest at 2 minutes and didn't enjoy it. If you're not smart enough to appreciate something amazing, you're better off keeping it to yourself.

Make people despise you: Judge children by their names

KnivesOut says...

If I'm completely honest with myself, I realize that I make similar snap judgements of people based on their names. I think it's inevitable that you associate certain names with certain types of people based on your past experience (having dated 2 crazy girls named "Crystal" I know that I would jump to a conclusion if my son brought a Crystal home.)

That said, I do believe that it's my job as a parent to not put any of my preconceptions into the mind of my child. He's got an entire life to develop his own preconceptions ahead of him.

Also, I had a great time with both of those Crystals.

Removing Billions Of Giant Blackheads

I'm sure most women would immediately know what that tool was. My wife has one. She likes to use it on me while I'm watching TV. I've got this scar on my ear where little blackheads form, and she likes to groom me.

Seriously, this isn't weird, right? People do this? Tell me other people do this...

Ferrari 458 Crashes While Trying To Pass a Family Car

KnivesOut says...

Pretty much exactly. With an MR transmission, and a super powerful motor, if you goose it and spin the wheels even a bit, that's what happens. You have to respect the torque that a car like that can create, and in the wet, you really, really have to be careful with your right foot.

If all you ever drive are FF cars it's hard to understand the physics, but it's basically the difference between pushing and pulling. If you push something heavy without being perfectly balanced in your force, then it wants to slide left or right. If you pull, of course, it's totally fine.

How did he lose control during that simple wide-open lane change? Wheels spin too fast and lose their traction?

This reminds me of oceans 13 where they had a supercomputer monitoring a person's heart rate and facial expressions to determine if gambling wins were legitimate or not. For as good as something like this is shown, I hope it doesn't have a bad side that opens up ethical use questions.
