I am glad this video hit the top 15 as I think more people need to see what's really happening on the ground and I have a sneaking suspicion that this won't be on CNN.

I initially saw another version which had captions. It was the broadcast from the Israel station (not Al Jazeera). Absolutely gut wrenching.

I watched a Microsoft video once where they interviewed one of their top guys for game simulations. He was a Ph.D physicist who got into development.

He said airplanes in the air are very easy to model. Cars are difficult because they are actually much more complex physics wise - tire material, road conditions, suspension and so on.

I suspect that water is really tough because you have to simulate wind, the wind's effect on the plane and the water, water currents, and the dynamics of the aircraft hitting the fluid. I can see why that'd be really hard.

^ What would have been hilarious is if the waitress that was trying to serve him before he went postal decked him and laid him out on the floor. But I doubt they'd have aired that.

So... how are Americans perceived, exactly? If the answer is that Americans don't like having a raving lunatic come into our workplace and start telling us what a bunch of fuckwits we are, then you're probably right.

Just a joke? I have a more cynical outlook. It's a joke for his viewers - Australians, meant to get him ratings. I doubt there was much humor in it for the people in the restaurant that night.

I know a few politicians who need to be publicly grilled like that.
