Godfather of Acoustic Tap - Michael Hedges
I'd love to see a video of his version of All Along the Watchtower.
Guitar Masters - Andrés Segovia plays "Asturias"
Although this is by no means his best performance, it is good to see Segovia in action.
I take issue with the comments, however. There is no need to trash one performer in order to extoll another. Whether it's Jake Shimabukuro, Joe Pass, Sabicas, Manitas de Plata or Segovia, each has there unique skills and charms. It's not either-or, thank god, it's all and more.
Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah (Live)
In the introduction he references Leonard ... Leonard Cohen who wrote this song. Buckley does an excellent job.
Jerome Murat
Very nice!
Aircraft Carrier Landing Pilots View
The slow speed of the aircraft, the windshield wipers and the side-by-side pilot co-pilot configuration suggest that this plane is a COD (Carrier On-board Delivery) aircraft, a propellor aircraft that delivers mail and lighter supplies.
Leet Speak in the News
Pitiful ... Reminds me of the time a local station decided to sound the alert about a virus attack, but how do you show a virus attack?
Their solution was to use a graphic that showed mold growing on the edges of the windows. I was LMAO since it was an After Dark screen saver and my son designed it.
Coleman Hawkins & Charlie Parker
I really like these old jazz videos. It's a shame, however, that the synchronization was off. It was particularly apparent when the camera was on Buddy Rich. I'll vote it up, but I wish the quality was better.
Top Secret Drum Corps (Tattoo)
Art is art. It comes in many forms. Fascinating.
Get Smart introduction (blue car)
The blue car is the old Volkswagen Karmann-Ghia sports car. Essentially7 built on the same frame and with the same engine as the beetle but with sleeker styling.
One of the annoying features is that there was no fan for circulation. If you were not moving, there was no defog/defrost/heat.
Get Smart Introduction (red car)
The red car is an Alpine Sunbeam. As I remember, it came with both a ragtop and a hard top. A wrench and a screwdriver changed it.
Hellzapoppin' lindy hop
Goddam that's sweet!
SRV & Albert King - "Matchbox Blues"
Thanks for posting this. It's a great clip of two of the best.
W - Ai No Imi Wo Oshiete (dance shot version)
These girls need to get a few lessons from Lynne and Tessa.
Clay Animation Artworks: "Mona Lisa Descending a Staircase"
This is truly stunning. Just to be able to copy the style and spirit of the originals is a tour de force, but creating the transitions and flow was just incredible.
My only regret is that I have but one vote to give for this video.
ultimate tesla fun; interacting with oversized tesla coil while wearing metal suit
Are you sure that's a tesla coil? It looks more like a Van de Graaf generator
