His life was dedicated to bringing the world his enjoyment of wildlife - May he RIP

Devlin says...

He died doing something he CARED about. That is a much more befitting way to address his death in a form that people can understand and bear. Me, I hope to either go out in a spectacularly fireycrash in my race car or alone in the wilderness with no one around. Maybe he wanted to go on in such a manner as he did (minus the sting ray), but not likely that he wanted to leave behind his young children and wife. A shame he went too soon. An honor he was trying to change things when he did. Video was good.

This is the German released video of the song. Steinman's music is big in German circles, and his video extraveganza's went big there. The American video release is much better, and fit the song a bit more. Still one of the best tunes of all time.

"World's Finest" - fan-made Superman/Batman trailer

Devlin says...

This was played out in a comic cycle, same as Batman vs Aliens vs Predators. I've seen comics where Spawn fought The Tick (not kidding!), Wolverine from X-Men was raised by the Waynes (DarkClaw) and one where Ka-El (Superman) gets raised by the Waynes and becomes Batman, with his Krypton-given powers.

Most of this stuff is in the comics somewhere if you know where to look. I'd like to see the next Batman movie be the "KnightFall" saga. THAT would be intense.

American Jedi (Revenge of the Sith crossed with American Pie

Devlin says...

Absolutely hilarious. I have often wanted to see a stiff spined uptight Jedi lose his cool and blow it when faced with an emtional situation. I think this fit well. And the guy playing Mace was great. The Lacrosse batles were superb.

:-D

Chrysler Tomahawk V10 Viper Powered. Motorcycle

Devlin says...

When Chrysler introduced this concept bike a few years back, they also wanted people to test drive it to the limits. I signed up to try it, but the program was cancelled when they realized that NO ONE could survive the crash at this thing's potential top speed of 300+ miles per hour.

Damn, and I REALLY wanted to try it out . . .

Hardcore anti sex slave appeal via a faux porn website

Devlin says...

Sadly, this is old news. In the 90's it was kids into Africa to work the cocoa fields and service the other workers after sundown. In the 80's it was Southern American women into the porn industry. However, if there can be a bright side to it all, in the majority of cases the women get back at those who traffic them by killing them when pushed too far or ratting them out to the cops. If someone helps them along the way, good show.

Trailer for Season 3 of "Battlestar Galactica"

Devlin says...

Yeah, I'm curious who got up enough sack to take Tigh's eye out, and if they will survive long enough to brag about it. Prediction: Dualla dies with the Battlestar Pegasus in the third or so episode into the season.

But however the series goes, I hope there is one HELL of a fight at New Caprica. None of this wimping out crap that went on in some of the other fights.
