the only conspiracy in american media is about the corporate control, not any political ideology. the claim of ideological bias arises when what you percieve does not match your personal ideology. plain and simple.

what you perceive may well be factual, but since it doesn't match your agenda, you say it is biased. as stephen colbert said: the truth has a well known liberal bias.

with the exception of fox, the media outlets have embraced what will keep viewers watching and win them more money - in the last decade, that has been mostly war and terrorism, but it has included a blowjob, too. don't forget that.
