I'm an environment artist and designer for games, so I can say with a good level of experience that this whole thing is most likely faked.
What is probably going on here is the content is being PRE-rendered server-side, and they just spit movies of it out. Most likely their content would be something showcasing that medium, rather than a realtime environment ala-GTA or <pick 3D game of your choice>. I could be wrong, but it's highly doubtful. Even if it were procedurally generated, you don't even have enough bandwidth to deal with the amount of data in that environment over your network connection.

I don't know what to say about them using things from peoples demo reels. Yeesh.

This clip doesn't even go into detail on how interesting of a creature this is. I wish National Geographic would get back to representing the facts about interesting animals, instead of sounding like an episode of America's Most Wanted.
They lay eggs, though they're warm blooded, they can hunt by electrolocation when using their bill to forage, females have two ovaries but only one is functional. After hatching, the young still feed from milk produced by the female, not from teets, but from pores in the skin.

They're just crazy animals. A real wonder of nature.

I'm with Spoco on this one. I don't feel Leno is putting on airs in this regard. The guy has got a hobby he loves, and he just happens to make enough money to pour a lot more into it than most people.

I'm weirded out by the little narrow ramps they have every few meters. I guess that's just to add to the thrill? (Like swooping between giant trees on rough terrain isn't enough?)
