Vimeo: the definitive how-to embed guide
And here is the solution to all your problems.
No, just kidding, I don´t have it, I kinda need one.
I always have a hard time embedding from vimeo. I try deleting stuff from the code (either methodically or quite randomly), removing www (an old solution, the embeds don´t even have wwws anymore). Usually Youdiejoe or someone produces a working embed, after I bitch here or Arvana just beats me to the video.
So, you wizards, how about a do-it-yourself guide? what do I need to do to recover my independency in vimeo posting?
Or even, could the quantum mechanics of video submitting be fixed, or make some code magic to fix a bad code automatically?
code I´m tryng to submit is:
<object width="400" height="307"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3839325&server=vimeo.com&show_title=0&show_byline=0&show_portrait=0&color=00ADEF&fullscreen=1" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3839325&server=vimeo.com&show_title=0&show_byline=0&show_portrait=0&color=00ADEF&fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="400" height="307"></embed></object>
</param></param></param>

It works for me. Maybe you should close your object tag?
This is the code as i got it from vimeo, before me meddling fruitlessly with it.

Still, adding a /object didn´t work. Nor moving the one that is there around...
Copying the embed from your version didn´t work either...
But again, this is the issue, even if this worked, I´m still dependent on foreign knowledge...
I think Lucky or Dag said a little while ago that Vimeo embeds are broken for non-golds.
I can't submit from there either - Same with Collegehumor.
I see. There is always a new carrot in front of us...
"join and vote"
"get a star and downvote"
"goldies get no broken vimeos"
"siftbot available for diamond´s private parties"
hmmm. carrots...
i don't even see the code anymore. just redheads, brunettes...
edit: btw, yours was blonde
I can't remember what it was that I edited but i stumbled across a way for it to work. Here is a before embed code and the current code from Vimeo, hope this helps:
Arbol Sex Mex from XNOGRAFIKZ on Vimeo.
AWESOME VIDEO!!!
should definitely be gratered, or ceefted, or soufleéed.
edit: you did so! then I wish I could promote it. 5 stars to go.
Ahhh. I've found a great song I would like to share. so...is there some kind of of magical formula that anyone could share to make the embed work... or any sort of mix of of herbs and/or spices and/or sacrifices I should do over my keyboard? (sorry about the sarcasm I've been trying to make this embed work for like an hour). Anyway I would really appreciate it if somebody would skool me on the subject.
