To those complaining about too much "Daily Show"...
...I think a "solution" has just been presented.
I just realized that some of Comedy Central's clips expire after two weeks of air -- far as I can tell so far, it's more the scripted material on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, not the celebrity interview part of those shows.

Why?
The website sez:
What does the "expired" date mean?
Due to licensing agreements we're unable to keep this clip available on the site past the expiration date. We hope you enjoy it while we have it up.

Does this mean they'll "expire" on other sites too? Strange that Comedy Central can't keep their own content up as long as they want.
No - this would apply to certain videos coming from their own site that they've flagged to expire. If someone downloads a clip to say, YouTube, or wherever - then they have to go through the ordinary channels of requesting the material to be removed due to copyright infringement. And last I remember, Comedy Central was encouraging YouTube to remove such clips as much as possible.
I don't think it's a question of it being just their own material - they no doubt have contracts with other distribution companies to reuse some of this stuff on DVD sets, calendars, coffee mugs...who knows.
thank f*ck for that!!! lol
